Background ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation (ABOi KTx) expands the living donor transplantation options. However, long-term outcome data, especially in comparison with ABO-compatible kidney transplantation (ABOc KTx), remain limited. Since the first ABOi KTx in Germany on 1 April 2004 at our centre, we have followed 100 ABOi KTx over up to 10 years.
