Half a Century of Excellence in Life Sciences

2014 marks the 50th anniversary of The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) and EMBO - Excellence in life sciences, and the centennial French Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SFBBM).All three societies will hold a joint conference for the life sciences in Paris. Prof. Dr. Michael Reth, Speaker of BIOSS and chair of the conference, will talk on Wednesday 3 September. On Saturday 31 August Prof. Dr. Michael N. Hall, member of the BIOSS advisory board, will present his research. The FEBS EMBO 2014 conference will take place from saturday 30 august to thursday 4 september 2014 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, France.This year's meeting replaces the normally separate annual conferences of FEBS and EMBO, and combining these communities, it should bring together a wide range of researchers.In addition, there will be sessions on science policy, publishing and careers and education, as well as activities tailored specifically for scientists in the early stages of their careers.
