More visitors than ever at the science meeting in Freiburg

Everything- on- a-chip,  Microfluidics, 3D Bioprinters  and a multitude of other new microsystem technologies were presented at the seventeenth International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (MicroTAS) from 27th  to the 31th of October 2013 organized by BIOSS member Prof. Dr. Roland Zengerle, chair of the conference and director of HSG-IMIT. Prof. Dr. Michael Reth, scientific director of BIOSS, presented how researchers at BIOSS explore the nanoscale organisation of the plasma membrane in a plenary talk. At the BIOSS booth visitors could look at microfluidic chips for plants, cells and proteins developed by Dr. Matthias Meier and find information on other topics of BIOSS Research Area C . 1200 visitors from all over the world came to the conference located at the Messe Freiburg – a record in the history of MicroTAS .
