We demonstrate a lab-on-a-foil system for fully automated analysis of DNA based on isothermal recombinase polymerase amplification. The system consists of a foil-based centrifugal microfluidic cartridge structured by blow-molding including prestored liquid and dry reagents, and a commercially available analyzer for incubation and real-time detection. The system is characterized by detection of the antibiotic resistance gene mecA. The limit of detection is < 10 copies within 15 minutes.
