We employ an inkjet-like printer for single cell genome analysis. The applied single cell printer was emplied to shoot cells directly into standard PCR tubes prefilled with PCR mix. Without any optimization we generated a PCR signal 33% from single cells (N=197). Additional experiments with an optimized single cell whole genome amplification kit (WGA) raised yield to 64% (N=33). With this basic technology plattform we pave the way for medium throughput single cell anlysis in standard PCR tubes.
