The application of molecular optogenetic switches for the perturbation of biological systems has resulted in unprecedented insights into cellular signaling processes. Here we present a graphical user interface to program the optoPlate-96 illumination device to enable the activation of optogenetic systems with high dose-dependeny, temporal resolution and multichromaticity. The software provides a graphical user interface for interactive configuration of the one-, two- or three-color variant of the optoPlate-96 and automatic generation of the required Arduino code.
